Dr. Shaunak Prafull Mokadam

Dr Shaunak P Mokadam is an Ophthalmologist in Nagpur, where he practises at the Anjani Eye Hospital located in the New Ramdaspeth area of the city. His areas of specialisation are cataract, refractive and paediatric ophthalmology. Besides an MBBS, he has obtained a Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mumbai. He is also a Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. In addition, he has completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

After completing his MBBS in 1998, Dr. Shaunak Mokadam served as Resident at the Aravind Eye Hospital in Coimbatore from April 1999 up to March 2003. He continued here for another year as Senior Resident until March 2004, after which he moved to the Lata Mangeshkar Hospital in Nagpur as Senior Resident from April 2004 until July 2005. Since July 2005, he has been associated with the Late Dr. Anjani Mokadam Memorial Trust's Anjani Eye Hospital in Nagpur as Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist and Refractive Surgeon.

Dr. Shaunak Mokadam has extensive experience in his field. During his various postings over the years, he has been exposed to all aspects of Ophthalmology, having conducted 1,000 ECCE surgeries, more than 6,000 phacoemulsification procedures with foldable IOLs, and more than 1,000 SICS / Phaco with PMMA IOL procedures. He has also successfully dealt with around 200 paediatric cataracts, 150 pterygium surgeries (plain excisions / with MMC / with autograft) and 100 squint corrections.
